For one magical summer morning, we’re turning Washington, DC’s most iconic hall into the world’s biggest playground.
On July 22, Daybreaker takes over THE PLAYGROUND at the National Building Museum — a monumental immersive wonderland designed for climbing, exploring, building, gathering and rediscovering the joy of play. Beneath the soaring columns of the Great Hall, we’ll dance our way through a landscape where curiosity is the dress code and adulthood is politely left at the door.
This isn’t nostalgia.
It’s permission.
Permission to move without purpose.
To laugh too loudly.
To make new friends before 9 AM.
To remember that play isn’t something we grow out of — it’s something we grow back into.
We’ll begin with a yoga experience to wake up the body and open the heart. Then the incomparable DIYANNA MONET takes us on a sunrise journey through soulful house, uplifting grooves and pure dance floor magic as the city comes alive around us.
Expect:
✨ Giant-scale playful surprises
✨ Interactive moments throughout the morning
✨ Coffee, connection and community
✨ A dance floor filled with builders, dreamers and mischief-makers
✨ The kind of joy that usually gets scheduled out of adulthood
Come dressed for movement. Come dressed for wonder. Come ready to play.
Because for one morning, the playground belongs to us.
